Cremation

Cremation in Azerbaijan is the most economical form of burial. Burying an urn with ashes in a columbarium niche will save costs related with ordinary burial - such as buying a plot in a cemetery, installing a monument, maintenance of a plot and so on. Burial of the urn in the ground has its advantages: smaller in size (and in price) plot will be required and there will be need to wait for the end of 15 years sanitary period. Three state crematoriums function in Moscow: Russian crematoria are located in Nikolo-Arkhangelsk, Mitinsk and Khovansk cemeteries.
